Settling in and making a home in Sendai

We are at home in Sendai, Japan!  Our flight from LAX to Tokyo was long but wonderful.  Singapore Airlines knows how to treat its customers!  After an all night flight of 10+ hours we arrived in Tokyo.  We were met by Janet Brown, our host missionary.  We drove about 4 hours north of Tokyo and spent the night at a Japanese rest stop.  We slept in our bus and van until 5:30 a.m.  I can tell you that a rest stop is a rest stop is a rest stop no matter the country.  We proceeded north to Sendai and had breakfast at McDonald's this morning.  Soon we arrived at Shiogami Bible Baptist Church in Sendai.  We have spent the morning learning some survival Japanese and getting an orientation to our home for the next 11 days.  Students will be having dinner with Japanese host families in their homes this evening.  We will minister during worship tomorrow morning.  Sayonara for now!
